Well, David Cook is our new American Idol. I guessed that it would be Archuleta, but I was wrong. I agreed with Simon when he said that he would be happy if either David won. But my jaw did drop in a moment of shock when it happened. I'll be honest---I didn't call and vote for either one (because I was fine with either one of them winning). I do like David Cook and will probably even buy his CD (or download it from itunes).
My sister Jena has (yet again) said that she'll never watch American Idol again. She does NOT like David Cook. Love ya JENA! It drives her crazy how he screams that high pitch note at the end of many songs. Here's a picture of what he looks like when he does it. I'm sure it's familiar to you.
Another good thing that came from David Cook doing American Idol is that he looks a lot better. Don't ya think?

Jena is so funny and yes, that is a great picture of him screaming. I didn't watch the season, so I can't agree with anyone, but I did hear a few of each of their songs and I like Archuleta better, but I think it is good he didn't win. Maybe he'll end up serving a mission or something now.
Too bad Darch (that's how you can tell the two David's apart--Darch and Dook) didn't win. I liked him better. Dook was too conceded for my taste, but let's be honest, it's probably for the best. Also, I never saw Dook before--that's pretty funny.
Carrie-your blog makes me laugh! We had the conversation that I am just not really into TV except HGTV and FoodNetwork. However, I was at my aunt's house last night having a family party that ended up being an American Idol party. Graduation? Who heard of graduation? Even my grandma though AI was the main event! Maybe I need to start watching next season?
I was shocked that Archiletta didn't win. But I must confess that thanks to YW I didn't watch much AI this season. I wonder if this will end up like the Rubin and Clay year, where Clay Aiken did better than Rubin.

I am so happy you posted that great picture of him hitting that same high note at the end of each song. I'll be honest I didn't vote, but like that would have mattered. I was a bout 12 mil. short.

I was with Jenna for a long time. I could not stand David Cook, but he eventually grew on me. I was so glad when they fixed his hair. I think they gave him hair plugs, but Kellee doesn't think so. HA!
Anyway, it was a fun season!
My mouth dropped open too! I couldn't believe it.. I thought for sure David A. was more popular. But I love surprises! That's why I love the show because anything could happen.
You're funny! I also agree with you... I was shocked that Cook won. I like them both and so I didn't care. I can't believe that Owen sleeps that much! WOW!!
