We went on one last trip the week before I went back to work. We stayed with the Cheney's at their family cabin in Island Park. We also visited Yellowstone and Virginia City.

We aslo got to go horseback riding. Jeff Cheney's parents have horses. It's great to have friends with connections. This was Benson and Owen's first time riding...they loved it.

And now school has begun. I'll admit I wasn't at all excited or ready to go back to work. But it really has turned out better than I thought it would. I have a great class with way cute kids. The 2nd grade team I'm on is AWE.SOME!!! They help me sooo much. Jeff's niece watches the boys MWF, and my brother, Dallin, watches them T&TH (at our house). But a definite downfall to not being home is missing out on some of the little and big things. Benson had his first day of Preschool today. I told Dallin he had to take pictures for me. He said I am "such a mom." And I'm proud of it.
Benson loves Preschool.

oh carrie - we miss you guys sooo much! what fun pics from the summer and of school starting up...I am SO glad to hear that things are going well with teaching and Benson is so dang cute in those pictures! Wish I was teaching him preschool! ha ha! :) So...call me when you get a chance - just missin ya! :)Aloha!
What a great summer you guys had. I wish we could have gotten together with Shelby before you headed back. Oh, well, we'll have to try for a weekend one of these days. Glad to hear that your class is darling and that teaching is going well. Grace will have to take a trip out there for a visit soon. Good luck with the rest of the week.
You're alive! I know you have been busy getting ready for school. I knew you did a bunch of "get aways" so it's nice to see some pictures! I love the one of you guys in Yellowstone. It looks like Benson didn't want to get his picture taken. Totally off subject, are you coming up for Peach Days? I sure hope so :)
He is growing up so fast. sniff. Where does the time go. When he goes into 4th grade, then tell me how old you feel! Can't wait to see you guys again!

Oh how the summer went by so fast! I'm sure it was faster for you b/c you started getting school stuff ready in JUNE!!! Sorry I've been a blog slacker. Seriously, I haven't even looked at blogs for like a month. Anywho, I'll see you for conference if not this weekend!
