What a week!

This past week has been full of ups and downs. Last Tuesday was my first emotional breakdown. Benson was having a hard time adjusting to baby Owen. He didn't take it out on Owen---he took it out on me. He was mad and would yell all the time. Benson also stopped sleeping through the night. I've heard that some kids will start wetting the bed (if they're potty trained) or stop sleeping through the night. I thought Benson would be okay, but he didn't like not having mom attention all the time. Things are getting better. Benson is sleeping fine again. But now he is trying to see what he can do to brother Owen. Here are some cute pictures I took of Benson holding Owen today. Right after I took these pictures Benson decided to plant a big kiss on Owen's lips (which I don't like him to do) and it looked like he was trying to bite Owen. Then he started kicking his legs so Owen was bouncing all over in his lap. That's what happens when mom is trying to take a picture and get a video.

We spent conference Sunday at my mom and dad's in Brigham. Everyone was there, except Dallin and Shari. My brother, Dallin, is on his mission in Switzerland. And my sister-in-law, Shari, had their baby yesterday. Her name is Avrie. Here is a picture of me holding her. Avrie was 20 inches and weighed 6 lb. 12 oz. Congrats Glade and Shari.

While we were hanging out at Grandma and Grandpa's house, Benson and cousin Garrett found some extra entertainment. They found the room where my mom keeps all of her stuff to do packages, and they got into the foam peanuts. What a mess. While they were cleaning up they both kept crushing the peanuts up. Benson had the foam stuck in his hair all day. They sure had fun.

I believe I only made it through last week because of some wonderful neighbors and friends who took Benson for many hours. I'm so thankful for my awesome friends! I hope it gets a little easier everyday, because I may actually make it!

I love that picture of Benson kissing Owen. So cute!! And the pictures of Benson and Garrett in trouble, so funny. LOL!! Hang in there. It will get easier. Grace and I will have to come for another visit, so we can help keep Benson entertained. :)

It must be so hard to add another one when you already have a toddler. You are such a cute mom though and I love the pictures of Benson and Owen--precious.

I am just waiting to find some styrofoam hiding in my stuff from the weekend! I hope this week gets better for you. I wish I lived closer so that I could come and help out. You know you can always call me and vent ;)

Just take it a day at a time. I had to tell myself that many days and still tell myself that many days. You are a good mom so I am sure it'll get easier. Your boys are darling!

Oh, but the foam looked so fun to play in! Benson is such a cutie, it's going to be hard for Owen to compete. Although already Owen is showing signs of a stud!

I miss you guys and hope to be able to see you soon. Maybe when my Dad is here for the summer I'll come with him to Utah for a few days.

I can't imagine it being easy to raise two boys all at once, but oh they are adorable! You need some sort of a mantra when it's getting tough- something like "this too shall pass" or "Jeff gets home soon"! The pictures are great- why is it adults don't find that much joy in such simple things?

You can make it! It does get easier. Before you know it, they'll be playing/getting into trouble together like any brothers do! And you'll finally have some peace and quiet.. and some big messes to clean up.
