Cruisin' Crawler

Owen is now 10 months old and is definitely getting into everything! He crawls very well (no more weird army crawl that looks like he's swimming) and he's quite fast.
His new favorite thing to do is crawl up the stairs.
Here's a video of it.

And here's another video to show what a fast crawler he is.

A couple weeks ago Owen had an ear infection...again. I was getting ready to take him to the doctor and Benson wanted to check Owen's temperature. I had recently checked Owen's temperature in his armpit (it was 101.2) so Benson wanted to do it that way too.

A cute video of the temperature taking.

I just recently started putting the boys together in the bath. They have so much fun together. They both did a good job covering their privates in this picture. Benson used a toy and Owen's tummy worked well. I didn't even have to tell them to do it...they're just so modest. ;)

P.S. A few people asked if Jeff had actually made the stocking he gave me for Christmas...yes he did. Jeff is quite the man...he can sew.

I'm behind...

I know, it's been awhile. Owen turned 9 months old way back on Dec. 18th. He was doing an army crawl at the time, which looked like he was trying to swim. Here's a cute video of it.

Owen is crawling at full speed now. I'll have to do a post on that next time.
Here are his measurements from his 9 month checkup:
Length: 29" (above 50%)
Weight: 21 lb 5 oz (above 50%)
Head Circ: 45.2 cm (almost 50%)

If any of you have been to my house, you've probably seen the baby cowboy room. When Benson was in there we had his name up on the wall and it was written with a rope. It's so cute. My sister Dana helped me with it. Well, I finally put up Owen's name, since it's his room now. It only took me 9 months to do it. It doesn't look as cute as Benson's because Dana didn't help me this time.
The flower above his name is supposed to be a star, but it didn't turn out so great. I might fix it someday.

Here's another cute video of Benson and Owen. It shows some of the cute things Owen has been doing lately.

We had a wonderful Christmas. The boys love all their gifts.

Jeff made me this extremely huge stocking. It was my favorite gift. Homemade presents are the best.

Benson being cool at Grandma & Grandpa Gunther's house.
This is a video of Benson a few days before Christmas. I was trying to get him to tell me what Santa says. He's so funny.

We gave the boys haircuts a few days ago and we decided to go super short. Benson looks like he's going to an army bootcamp.

Benson loves to get in Owen's crib with him.
One last video. I think it's funny.

Let's just pretend you received our cute family picture in the mail along with a wonderful letter. I didn't quite get around to doing it this busy holiday season, so this is what you get...and you even get it after Christmas.

All I Want for Christmas...

...is two sweet little boys!
I wanted to wrap them up and put them under the tree.

I was emptying out some boxes the other night and Benson
wanted to sit and play in one. I put Owen in the other box and they were just as content as can be. Really, who needs toys when you have boxes?!

I tried taking pictures of the boys in front of the Christmas tree. They weren't as cooperative as I'd hoped,
but they're cute anyway.

I'm not sure what they are looking at.
There must have been something exciting on the TV.

Here's Benson sharing or taking.
I'm not quite sure which.

And again, sharing or taking?
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he must have been sharing...since it's Christmas time.

Ornaments are always good for eating.
Look how cute they are holding hands.

Mom & Owen

Owen loves to yank on all my ornaments.
That's why I put some down low that he can play with.

Even when times are hard I always think about how very blessed we are. A few of 'Santa's helpers' came by a few days ago with some 'gifts' for our family. Thank you to those who are so willing and happy to give. We love our family, friends, and neighbors. Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

Christmas Decorations

I love decorating for Christmas...especially the outside of my house. I took pictures of everything with and without the flash.
I think it looks better withou
t, but I decided to put both up so you could see it all.{The whole house}

{The Merry Christmas sign}

{The polar bears and trees}

{The front door}

On Saturday my mom, my sisters, and I got together for one of our Christmas traditions. We make goodies.
Here's what my sister Jena made.
A delicious Candy Cane Cupcake. I'm not a big peppermint fan, but it's so good! And the cute little 'Day's till Christmas' Santa is a gift from my mom. Hallmark is her favorite store and I love that she buys us cute stuff from there.

Box Elder High School 1997

Fill this out about your high school! The longer ago it was, the more fun the answers will be!! Re-post with the name of high school and graduating year.

1.Did you marry someone from your high school?
No. I'm glad I didn't marry the guys I dated.

2.Did you car pool to school?
Me and my sisters carpooled sometimes with some of the neighbors, but we weren't usually ready on time. So my mom took us most of the time.

3.What kind of car did you have?
I didn't have one, but once in awhile (my senior year)I got to take our awesome van.

4. What kind of car do your drive now?
I don't have a car right now. We do have Jeff's Ford F-350 that I drive sometimes.

Home watching a movie/TV with Jeff, or having another GNO.

7.What kind of job did you have in high school?
I didn't have a job in high school. My parents never wanted us to have jobs. They wanted us to be able to study and have fun.

Stay-at-home-mom

9.Were you a party animal?
My friends and I were not the drinking and smoking type, so no. But we were always having a good time anyways.

I was definitely a flirt. My boyfriend was always mad that I would flirt with my guy friends.

12. Did you get suspended/expelled?
Heck no. I was an angel.

13. Can you sing the fight song?
Oh ya, "Sing a song of our dear school...." I even knew the actions the cheerleaders would do with it. I would follow along (making fun of them).

14.Who was/were your favorite teacher(s)?
I liked Mrs. Bigler, Mr. Demonja, and Mr. Mecham.

15. Where did you sit during lunch?
If we didn't go get our lunch from a restaurant, then we just ate something in the halls.

16. What was your school's full name?

A Bee (I know, terrifying)

18.If you could go back and do it again, would you?

19. What do you remember most about graduation?
I remember thinking it was very boring, but I was excited for the after party (which I can't remember much of).

22.Do you still talk to the person you went to Prom with?
I haven't talked to either one in years.

23.Are you planning on going to your 20 year reunion?
Yes. I went to the 10 year and it was fun to see everyone again. I wish more of my best girlfriends would have gone though. Maybe they'll make it to the 20 year.

24.Do you still talk to people from school?
Yes...I have found several through blogs and facebook. It's great and I hope to find more.

I tag everyone who went to my high school (and anyone else who wants to do it). GO BEES!

My Two Bits

I just want to put in my two bits about the Twilight movie I saw last night. I went with a bunch of ladies from my ward and neighborhood. Before the movie I went over to Amy's house so we could get all dolled up for the movie.
We sprayed glitter all over our faces, hair, neck, and arms. We also put vampire bite marks on our necks. It looked pretty cool. I even have a pin on my shirt that says, "Bite Me, Edward only please."
The movie started at midnight, but we all got there at about 11 to play trivia, have a raffle, and eat snacks.

I thought the movie was just okay. I tried to go in with low expectations so I wouldn't be too disappointed. I didn't know it was going to be a comedy, but it was. Unfortunately, we laughed in some parts that were not meant to be funny. The beginning and the end were better than the middle. Some parts were extremely cheesy (and comical). Some of the acting was good and some bad.
You should go see it for yourself to decide. I would watch it again, especially if I wanted a good laugh.

twi sig Pictures, Images and Photos
This was one of my favorite scenes (I really did like it). I thought it was cute.

One of my very favorite parts of it all the was the Harry Potter trailer we got to see on the big screen. So awesome! Can't wait for that. Here's the link to it.

Why, why, why?

Here are some things that Benson has done this past week. I don't know why he does them...maybe to drive me completely crazy?
  • Benson likes to try and get his own juice. While I was nursing Owen he got out the pitcher that had just a little punch in it and tried to drink out of it (I'm sure he learned this trick from his Daddy). He spilled it all over his clothes and my floor (luckily the hardwood floor). Of course his clothes had to be changed.
  • He found some of Jeff's shaving creme, sprayed it out and had a good time with it on his clothes and my carpet. This happened after the punch incident and I had to change his clothes---again!
  • Benson has taken off his clothes and his diaper everyday for the last week (sometime twice a day). He usually does it when I put him down for his nap. I'll go up to check on him and he'll be completely naked...just sitting there. The first time I laughed (when Benson couldn't see), but now it's not funny anymore. He'll do it when he's watching TV now too. WHY?! Luckily I check on him before he has had an accident on the floor. I've learned to put a belt on his pants before I put him down for his nap. He may just have to wear a belt all the time now.
  • He pooped right before he fell asleep for one of his naps this week. Instead of telling me he pooped, he played in it. He then fell asleep for 2 hours and it dried all over his hands, clothes, and his door. Dry poop is really hard to clean up and it is like forever stink!
I'm sure I've forgotten several other incidents, but you get the idea. Even though he is a crazy 2 and 1/2 year old, I just love the kid. Look at those cute freckles.

Owen loves to stick out his tongue a lot. I caught a good picture of it.

What a cute giggle.

Benson's friend Ammon was playing at our house while I was taking some pictures. I thought Owen was being so cute trying to hug and kiss the boys. I soon realized he was hungry and was trying to eat them.

Owen is 8 months old today. He isn't crawling yet, but he's thinking about it. He rolls a lot to get places. We cut his hair on Sunday. He is so handsome, even without his cool mohawk.

Twilight Tag

Who Introduced you to the Books?-
Several of my friends told me about it, but I can't remember who told me first........was is you?

What Character would you most compare yourself to?

Probably Bella, even though I don't think I am really like her, I just want Edward to want me.

What Character would others say you are?
Um...I don't know...what would you say?

Team Edward or Team Jacob?-

Team Edward for sure. But I do like Jacob too.

Fav. Car mentioned in the book?

I'm not really into cars, but I'd have to say Edwards car (and I don't even care what kind of car it is).

How many times have you read Twilight?

Twice. I want to read it again before the movie comes out, but I doubt that I'll get it done.

If you could have one of the powers the Cullens have what would it be and why
?-
I would have Jasper's power to make everyone around me happy all the time (myself included).

What is your Fav. part in Twilight
?

When Bella and Edward to the meadow and she sees him SPARKLE for the first time.

twilight Pictures, Images and Photos
Fav Quotes from Twilight?-
"Yes, you are exactly my brand of heroin." - Edward
"I'm an idiot." - Bella (because she is most of the time)
"You brought a snack?" - James (hee)

Fav Cullen Sibling?-
Gotta love Alice.

Pheonix or Forks?
I'd say Forks, but I'd probably get sick of the rain and move back to Utah.

If you were Bella and you can't have Edward what other male from the book would you pick and why?-

Jacob, because he
is my second choice.

Would you rather be a Vampire or Werewolf?-

A vampire, so I can be with Edward forever. And then I'd be super good looking too.

If you had pick one song that would be perfect for Bella and Edward what would it be?
-
Hero/Heroine by Boys like Girls (it's on my playlist....my sista Dana told me about it).

Now it is your turn. I tag anyone who Loves Twilight!!!!

A Very Happy Halloween

We had such a good time on Halloween. Benson just loved going door to door saying "Trick or Treat". He wanted to knock on everyone's door and ring the doorbell.
Here's a great video of Benson at our very first house of the night. It is our next door neighbors, the Burnhams. (Pause the Playlist music on the left)

Jeff and Benson really got into the face paint and colored hairspray for Halloween night. Benson kept touching his face and getting paint all over his hands. I had to keep wiping paint off of doors that he would knock on (Sorry neighbors...I think I got it all off). I kept Benson in his shorts because it was actually pretty warm.
Here's a closeup of Jeff's fully painted face. The Florida Gators played Georgia on Saturday and WON---of course! I think Jeff wanted to get the face paint back out and go for another round.

When we got home we gave the boys their baths and I put Owen in his cute Halloween pajamas. It is covered in candy corns and at the bottom it says "I love my Mummy." We kept the "F" on his cheek for the Florida game. What a cutie, eh?!
I'm so on the ball. I took down all of our Halloween decorations on Saturday. I love Halloween, but I was ready to put it all away. Now, if I could just clean the inside of my house...

Oh the Joys of October

Many fun things have happened this month.

My sister Julie and brother-in-law Trent had a baby boy on
Jeff's Birthday (October 15th).
Welcome Baby Caleb!

Here's Caleb with his favorite Aunt---me, of course!

My side of the family had our annual Halloween party that my sister Jena puts together. I think it was the best party yet. So sad that Julie, Trent, Garrett, and baby Caleb couldn't come. We missed you guys.
At the party everyone dressed up, ate lots of food, went on a hayride, ate more food, and had some hot chocolate.
